New(soon) Pier Mount for S50

Description

I just had the big obstacle for mounting my S50 to my front yard pier removed, the lemon tree. While the light pollution is so bad the view is great. Worst is to the north east where the scope is obstructed 30 degrees above the horizon and the south at 25 degrees.

Now to get the pier modified for the S50. It will probably take a little time because I can't do anything these days fast but it will be done.

Description: Here is the section of the pier that I have to modify. Biggest hurdle is removing the old CG-5 alignment post.

Description: Removed old mount ring and test possible S50 mount plate. Need to get 3/8"x16 x 2" rod with hand knob now.

Description: This is the latest 3d printed spacer for the S50. It was printed at 100 percent infill and has the weight and feel of a hockey puck. Only 95mm in diameter, 13mm thick and weighs 100g. A very solid piece. I might need to print another just a little thicker as the rubber feet on the S50 might not clear the nuts on the pier. When the 3/8x16 rod comes in we'll find out. Also this took 8 hours to print.
